“I am more interested in females who have a natural innocence to them and during the photo shoots I try to bring out their sensuality. This combination makes my photos visually pleasing for me. So basically my models are not the definition of the ‘clichéd beautiful look’ but they could be more beautiful and powerful in front my camera than those who are in glamour magazines. This is what I explore during my photo shoots.”–Akif Hakan Çelebi

“I…think that reflecting the feelings and souls of people depend on the talent, the perspective and the processing of the photographer.”–Akif Hakan Çelebi

“I take photographs according to my desires and feelings, not due to the taste and demand of the audience.”–Akif Hakan Çelebi

‘I’ve always been fascinated by the asian cinema, but not by the martial arts or by the horror films. I prefer the dramatic or historical films, my main sources of inspiration are the cinese director Wong Kar-Wai and the photography director Christopher Doyle.”–Akif Hakan Çelebi

“The nudity in my photos exalts a sort of power. When you look at one of my nude it is like she says to you: “look at me, I’m courageous, firm and independent; I have no fear of how my body can look like because it is part of me, so I accept and love it!”…in the majority of my works [nudity] is not the main point. The emotions are the [main focus], and the people get naked to highlight them, the nakedness of the body is just a medium that follows.”–Akif Hakan Çelebi
