5 Movies in 140 Characters or Less

Lost In Translation (2003): First world man meets first world woman and they bond over first world problems.
Also, there is absolutely nothing to do in Japan.

Hallam Foe (2007): A haphazard attempt at a Freudian tale that teeters too close to the border of incestuousness.

Closer (2004): Attractive people doing decidedly unattractive things.

Cherrybomb (2009): Ron Weasly auditions for a role on Skins.

Remember Me (2010): Robert Pattinson scowls for 90 minutes, then a plane crashes in New York; you suddenly feel like crying.

I’ve been watching a lot of films lately, and the above is just a handful of the movies I’ve seen most recently. I didn’t want to do long reviews on each, so I decided to take the twitter approach. Not surprisingly, that forced me to get right down to the meat of the matter–there is nothing I could say in 500 words about these movies that I didn’t cover in 140 characters or less.

So! How would you “Twit-Review” these 5 films? And, If you haven’t seen them–do your own “Twit-Review” of whichever film you’ve watched recently! Just keep it short & (preferably) witty.

Well you’re in the majority, the critics love Lost In Translation!

I admit it was beautifully acted–I just couldn’t find myself empathising with any of the characters…or the storyline.

But I’ve read that it’s Sophia Coppola’s (the director’s) own experience that inspired the film–so I give her props for translating that in a coherent way.

You should definitely let me know what you think of the other movies when you watch them! =D

I’ve only seen Closer (though I shouldn’t have, I was only 10) It was superbly written and acted. Will check out the rest. (<140 charac.)

Totally know what you mean–I saw “Secretary” when I was about that age or younger.

And I enjoyed Closer too–with a cast like that one, you wouldn’t expect anything less.
